A shared charter takes you from Maun, Botswana to Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. On arrival, you are met and driven to San Camp. Set in the heart of the dry savanna of northeastern Botswana, the Makgadikgadi Pan is the world’s largest network of salt pans stretching over 3900 square kilometers and formed on the bed of the ancient Makgadikgadi Lake that began evaporating eons ago. Visiting Makgadikgadi is a unique salt desert experience: in the dry season, this vast expanse of sunbaked salt glistens in the light and when the rains come, the pan is home to a cornucopia of flamingos and other water birds, as well as one of Africa’s biggest zebra populations, whose annual migration is a wonder to behold. Visitors can immerse themselves in the stark beauty of this incredible landscape, spot a host of wildlife and enjoy several activities including horse riding safaris, game drives, and excellent birdwatching. Other highlights include quad biking across the vast expanse of dry salt pans or jumping in a helicopter and viewing countless flamingo flocks creating a magnificent pink spectacle dotting the landscape. Classic white tents perched on the shore of an enormous sparkling salt pan, each sheltered by a cluster of stately desert palms. Spectacular vistas, soothing and serene – pared down safari elegance with minimal ecological impact, it is the nothingness that attracts. San Camp runs almost entirely on solar energy, thus dramatically reducing the use of fossil fuels. The perfect place to relax, unwind and retreat. Offering 5 twin and 2 double tents with en-suite bathrooms and spacious veranda, the rooms are spacious and stylish. San Camp is open only for 6 months of the year during the dry season (16th of April to 15th of October).You are encouraged to go quad biking across the lunar expanse of the pans, lie out on the pans as the sun sets watching the planetarium show unfold with horizon-to-horizon stars. Get unbelievably up close and personal with meerkats; spend time walking and interacting with a group of Zu/’hoasi Bushmen to gain insight into their ancient culture; game drive to experience unique desert wildlife. You can visit Fallen Baobab, campsite of Livingstone & Selous and one of the three largest and oldest trees in Africa. Relax into the solitude of your environment under canopy of the yoga pavilion. PRICING INFORMATION

These prices are good for travel between July 01, 2020 – Oct 31, 2020.  

Land Pricing: $6,900.00 per person double occupancy

Internal Air: $1,200.00 per person subject to change*

*Internal air includes the following flights:

Maun / Jack’s Camp Airstrip  

Jack’s Camp Airstrip / Maun

RESERVATION AND PAYMENT SCHEDULE

Deposit per person required at time of booking: A deposit of 25% of the program price is required at the time of booking. Final payment is due 120 days prior to departure. If your reservation is made within 120 days of departure, the entire cost of the trip must be paid at the time of the request to secure confirmation.

CANCELLATION CHARGES

Cancellations must be received in writing and will become effective on the date of e-mail receipt. Cancellations received by Emmarosh are subject to the following:

CANCELLATION FEES PER PERSON

121 days prior to departure (or more): 10% of the program price per person.
120-91 days prior to departure: 20% of program price

90-61 days prior to departure: 50% of program price

60 days prior to departure (or less): 100% of the program price

Changes to the Itinerary:

The guest will be responsible for any changes or cancellations made to the itinerary at their request or beyond their control, before or during travel, including expenses incurred due to a change, delay or cancellation of any flights. If a guest cancels or leaves a journey and a roommate remains, an additional supplement may apply to the price for the remaining guest.

CANCELLATION CHARGES FOR INTERNAL AIR

All internal air is 100% non-refundable at time of final payment (some exceptions may apply).

CANCELLATION CHARGES FOR EXTRA SERVICES WHERE APPLICABLE

Additional hotel nights and other extra services booked in connection with Emmarosh programs are subject to specific cancellation penalties.
